This fall, industry leaders recognized EYA's townhome neighborhood Capitol Quarter with Green Building awards in two separate competitions.

The Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association (MNCBIA) selected Capitol Quarter as "Best Green Townhome Community" and the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA) named the community "Best Green Community in Energy Efficiency".

Judges applauded the community's close-in urban location, which helps homeowners spend less time in their cars.  Energy Star labeling reduces the homes' operating costs and LEED certification ensures a significant amount of eco-friendly materials are used during construction.  The homes at Capitol Quarter also undergo several green building inspections throughout the building process.
