EYA Receives Second Round of Approvals to Develop Shady Grove Site
EYA received another round of approvals from the Maryland State Highway Administration to build a new Shady Grove neighborhood. The planned development consists of 144 townhomes and 196 multi-family homes, combined with 329,000 square feet of office space.
The site, within one-half mile of the Shady Grove metro station, would offer residents of the new community life within walking distance to public transportation, retail and personal services.
The final approval is expected to come from the Federal Highway Administration in early 2008, at which time EYA will begin sales and construction shortly thereafter. The community would be the seventh community EYA has built in Montgomery County and one of nearly 30 EYA neighborhoods in the metropolitan area.
