The newest restaurant, Colada Shop, at Cabin John Village is scheduled to open on April 23rd. This will be the fourth location of the D.C.-based “fine-casual” eatery, whose slogan is “Come curious. Leave Cuban.”
A short stroll from the Townhomes at Cabin John Village, the new restaurant will feature a large outdoor dining area, and will be filled with greenery.

According to The Store Reporter, “The menu will feature coffee and traditional Cuban fare, plus some new twists on the classics: chorizo and chickpea calderos, avocado tostadas, vegetarian Cuban sandwiches and plantain latkes." For happy hour, there will be will be piña coladas, mojitos and Caribbean-themed cocktails.
In a Washingtonian Magazine story on the new restaurant, Jessica Sidman writes, “Chef/Partner Mario Monte will continue to serve up favorites." For the Potomac location, the chef has created new dishes that include, “plantain latkes and mojito-cured salmon.”
