At EYA, building neighborhoods means more than creating thoughtfully designed homes — it’s about fostering connections that turn neighbors into friends. That spirit came to life at our recent homebuyer event in the Nottingham model home at Northside in Potomac, MD, where future neighbors gathered for an afternoon of food, conversation and community.
The event featured Steven and Ryan from ABW Appliances, who showcased the appliances at Northside, including the optional induction cooktops. Homebuyers had the chance to experience the speed, safety, and efficiency of induction cooking, while also enjoying demonstrations of additional modern kitchen features.
One homeowner noted, “Seeing the demo really helped me picture how easy these appliances will make everyday cooking. It’s a whole new way of thinking about the kitchen.”
In addition to the live cooking demonstrations, Ryan from ABW shared simple, everyday tips for getting the most out of new appliances — from dishwasher care to maximizing convection oven performance.
As guests mingled and shared their homebuying journeys to Northside, a common thread emerged: this wasn’t a decision made overnight. Many spoke of the careful thought and research that went into choosing a new brownstone — and the features that made Northside the clear choice.
The event wrapped up with plenty of laughter, shared food, and new friendships, and showcased the community that is already taking shape. And for future Northside residents, it was not just a cooking class, but a glimpse into the vibrant, connected community they’ll soon call home.
