EYA's Genevieve Jordan named WBJ 40 Under 40

We are thrilled to share that EYA's Director of Engineering, Genevieve Jordan, was named among the Washington Business Journal (WBJ) 40 Under 40 Class of 2026! Each year the WBJ honors 40 rising stars in local businesses who have distinguished themselves in their companies, their communities and their industries — all before their 40th birthday. 

The awardees gathered for the celebration event at Starr Hill Tysons Brewpub and enjoyed an evening filled with food, drinks, live music and great camaraderie. EYA team members also attended the event to celebrate Genevieve and her accomplishment. 

Serving as EYA's Director of Engineering, Genevieve has not only become a respected leader within her department but an invaluable EYA team member who oversees vital, technical engineering aspects for the company’s new home communities. Through her hard work, technical capabilities and project management skills, Genevieve has become a trusted peer and leading female engineering manager in an industry that is predominately male.

In her five years at EYA, Genevieve has been responsible for obtaining technical construction document approvals and permits which has resulted in the construction of 500+ townhomes, 31 single-family homes, a 229-unit multi-family building, 6.2 acres of park/public use space, 5,200 SF of retail space and complex infrastructure plans leading to improved pedestrian access and public services. 

Genevieve graduated with High Honors from the University of Virginia with a BS in Civil Engineering. She obtained her Professional Engineering License in 2020 and looks forward to a long career in engineering where she can contribute to bringing new homes and public spaces to Washington, DC area residents.
