Montgomery County is gearing up to celebrate the Irish! From parades to pints of your favorite drink, check out these fun ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in your EYA neighborhood.
On Saturday, March 12th, head over to Washingtonian Center for the 16th Annual Gaithersburg St. Patrick’s Day Parade. From 10 AM – noon, the parade will march through the streets featuring Irish dancers, pipes & drums, fire trucks and much more. Enjoy live music and family activities on the plaza after the parade.
The celebrations start early on March 17th at Union Jack’s! The pub is hosting an all-day Shamrock & Roll Bash. Live music starts at 3:30 PM and there will be plenty of food and drink specials. Advance tickets cost $10.

Indulge your sweet tooth and stop by Georgetown Cupcake for one of their fantastic holiday cupcakes! Their St. Patrick’s Day vanilla and chocolate cupcakes feature green icing and shamrock and are sure to please.
Downtown Bethesda is the perfect place for a St. Patty’s Day pub crawl! Head over to The Barking Dog for an all-day celebration, including live music and bagpipers. Flanagan’s Harp & Fiddle will also be having festivities all day long with live music and food specials. Reservations for lunch and dinner are recommended.
