Westfield Montgomery Mall has been rolling out big developments in the past few years, with an improved food court, the addition of high-end retail, and the opening of ArcLight Cinemas and Lucky Strike bowling alley and gastropub. Within the next few years, there are plans for even more improvements to the shopping center.
A new proposal details plans for the development of a mixed-use space in place of the Sears and surrounding surface parking lots. These plans aim to make Westfield Montgomery Mall a “lifestyle destination” with the addition of apartments, upscale retail and dining options, and outdoor plazas to serve as recreational spaces for the community.
If approved, the project is planned to begin construction in 2019. Read the full article from the Bethesda Beat about the proposed developments and community amenities here.
