Revitalizing the Old Town Alexandria Waterfront

Written by EYA Homes | August 25, 2016

The New York Times interviewed EYA’s president, Bob Youngentob, as part of their showcase of the upcoming redevelopment along the Old Town Alexandria waterfront. Until recently, a prime section of the waterfront has been home to a group of industrial warehouses and underutilized by residents and visitors. As part of a larger City plan to revitalize the waterfront, EYA is transforming three acres bordered by Duke, Union, and Wolfe Streets to help enhance access to and enjoyment of the waterfront.

EYA’s new neighborhood, Robinson Landing, will feature upscale condominiums and elevator townhomes, along with 10,000 sq ft of new retail, a grand public promenade with art and performance spaces and a new pier with seasonal café and boat docks. As noted in the article, EYA has been working in Alexandria for over two decades and Robinson Landing will be a perfect fit with the company’s philosophy of “life within walking distance.”
