Washingtonians have a new way to enjoy sustainably produced local groceries via [Field to City](http://www.fieldtocity.com/), a DC-based retailer and delivery company. Centrally located at Rhode Island Avenue and 2nd Street NW, the brick-and-mortar location is just steps from Shaw-Howard Metro station. For the busy professional, delivery is available for a small fee and your groceries will arrive same day with an order placed by 5 p.m.

Field to City delivers just what the name implies: summertime produce from a Virginia farm, glass bottled milk from Pennsylvania (and nostalgic bottle deposit refunds, too), along with a delectable selection of honey, jam, coffee, beer and wine.

The store is open from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m. weeknights and 9:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on weekends. Stop by this Saturday for a selection of freshly baked bagels, strawberries, arugula, mustard greens, collard greens, spinach, lettuce, kale, local wildflower honey and sustainably farmed Polyface eggs.

We think Field to City is an important amenity for Washingtonians and applaud their efforts to bring fresh and healthy grocery products from field-to-city!
