The one hundred year old [history](http://unionmarketdc.com/about-union-market/) of culinary entrepreneurship returns to [Union Market](http://unionmarketdc.com/) this weekend in Washington, DC.

What began as the city's largest food market is being reborn at Union Market, which serves as the anchor building of a brand new [market district](http://dcmud.blogspot.com/2012/09/dcs-union-market-to-open-saturday.html), expected to rival New York City's Meatpacking District and Capitol Hill's Eastern Market.

[Located](http://unionmarketdc.com/directions/) near the intersections of Florida Avenue and New York Avenue NE (off 6th Street NE), Union Market is just two miles from EYA's [Chancellor's Row](https://www.eya.com/Chancellors_Row_at_Brookland_Metro) townhome community and steps from the NoMa Metro station on the red line.
