We are pleased to share that Strathmore View received two awards at the Great American Living Awards (GALA) celebration event! GALA is the premier recognition program in the greater Washington, DC area for outstanding achievements in homebuilding, development, architecture and sales.
We were honored to receive the following two GALA awards for Strathmore View: Best Innovative Land Planning and Best Green Building.
Best Innovative Land Planning
Located in North Bethesda, MD, Strathmore View features 108 EYA brownstones and 17 single-family homes (by Craftmark Homes) in a park-like setting walking distance to Metro and the Music Center at Strathmore. Once part of the nearby school campus, this new neighborhood is designed to seamlessly blend with the surrounding existing communities.
The site plan was thoughtfully crafted with single-family homes along Strathmore Avenue to complement the existing single-family homes and transition to the brownstones, designed as the next generation of modern, energy-efficient brownstones.
The land planning efforts showcase thoughtfulness to the surrounding neighborhoods and school campus, overcame land development challenges such as topography and featured dedicated efforts to preserve forested/buffer areas. All resulting in a beautiful new neighborhood offering environmentally-friendly homes and outdoor amenities for homeowners such as landscaped green spaces with seating areas, walking trails and a children's playground.
Best Green Building
Strathmore View is an all-electric community, which offers many benefits to both homeowners and the environment. These include reduced dependence on fossil fuels, improved indoor air quality and increased safety. Furthermore, EYA was proud to partner with Dandelion Energy to offer environmentally-friendly geothermal heating and cooling in the Navarro homesites. The addition of geothermal heating and cooling offers homeowners even more opportunity to reduce their carbon footprint, lower energy costs and build a more sustainable future.
