Workforce and Moderately Priced Dwelling Unit (MPDU) homes at Farmstead District are available to income-qualified first-time homebuyers. There are two options available, depending on income level: three-level townhomes for those earning 50-60% AMI, and four-level townhomes for those earning 80% AMI. Available for move-in this summer, these homes offer 3 bedrooms, open main-living level and 2-car garage parking. The 4-level home also offers a rooftop terrace off the primary bedroom.

City of Rockville Workforce and MPDU Housing

The city of Rockville requires for-sale properties to be available to Rockville residents at prices that are more affordable than for-sale market-rate homes.

As home builders, we are required to set aside a certain percentage of for-sales homes for prospective homebuyers that meet the city's specific requirements.

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a first-time home buyer
  • Home must be the owner's primary residence and may not be rented to others
  • Buyer cannot own another home while occupying the workforce home
  • Must qualify for bank financing
  • Any resales of the home must follow city guidelines for workforce units within the first 30 years
  • All household members over 18 must submit proof of income
  • Attend Montgomery County's First-Time Homebuyer class
