EYA Foundation proudly donated 26 backpacks filled with school supplies for kids-in-need through the Montgomery Housing Partnership (MHP). The children (ages 5-11) are enrolled in MHP’s after-school homework club in Silver Spring. The homework club provides students a structured and supportive atmosphere for completing school assignments.

MHP serves more than 1,750+ families in Montgomery County by:

  • Acquiring, rehabilitating, building and managing quality affordable housing.
  • Developing and implementing community life programs to improve the quality of life and increase opportunities for residents.
  • Collaborating with concerned citizens and businesses, public officials and community organizations to build strong, vital neighborhoods.

The Foundation purchased backpacks and supplies, which EYA staff members gathered to stuff. EYA participates in a variety of charitable activities throughout the year—from lending our construction expertise to organizations in need to arranging volunteer and donation events.
