This year's recipient of giving was the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority (ARHA), an organization dedicated to providing affordable housing and economic opportunities to residents of Alexandria.

The EYA Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of its Spring 2017 grant-making cycle. Twice a year, the foundation awards grants to non-profit organizations and private foundations working in the Washington metro area. Grant making priorities include contributions, donations, and sponsorships for programs focusing on disadvantaged populations, job training and education, beautification of blighted neighborhoods, and the rehabilitation of support facilities for the underserved.

The children (who are ages 5-11) are enrolled in MHP’s after-school homework club in Silver Spring, MD. The homework club provides students a structured and supportive atmosphere for completing school assignments. Literacy specialists also provide small group instruction for children who require more in-depth assistance.
