Each year, the EYA Foundation proudly donates children's school supplies and backpacks to Montgomery Housing Partnership (MHP). The organization provides affordable homes in Montgomery County and neighboring communities and serves their residents with a variety of programs designed to improve quality of life. Every summer, they help kids start the school year strong with tools they need to learn and succeed, including backpacks filled with school supplies.
EYA team members gathered at the office to help sort supplies and fill the backpacks.
And this year, we expanded the effort to include homebuyers at two of our communities: Farmstead District in Rockville, MD and Reservoir District in DC.

Buyers gathered at our model homes to help stuff the backpacks, and even brought extra supplies that were donated to the program.

Offering homebuyers the opportunity to come together over a shared cause is a great way to give back and build meaningful connections among future neighbors.
And with the help of our wonderful homebuyers and EYA team members, we packed enough school supplies to support more than 100 children.
While homebuilding is the primary thing we do, building sustainable neighborhoods is what we love. And that means more than welcoming new homeowners—it means giving back in the communities where we build and providing residents with the opportunity to come together, foster connections and support their community.
The EYA Foundation supports local non-profits through donation events, lending our construction expertise, offering small grants and more. Click here to learn about the EYA Foundation.
