Nearly 100 EYA staff and vendor partners gathered last Friday for the company's annual Day of Service. The event benefited the residents of Parkway Woods public housing, a community managed by Housing Opportunities Commission Montgomery County.
EYA provided children's entertainment, prizes and a free community center membership for the kids of Parkway Woods public housing site.
Painting was a large part of the Service Day project. This 200-foot wall was in need of restoration and paint.
EYA staff and partners for the 2013 Day of ServiceInitiatives included painting doors and trim, painting common areas, improved hardscape and landscape, and the resealing and striping of the parking lot. EYA also provided a BBQ lunch, activities, and a free annual Community Center membership to the residents.
