After just a short walk north from Capitol Quarter in SE, you’ll arrive at a long-standing DC institution: the Eastern Market. A staple weekend destination since its creation in 1871, the Eastern Market is the oldest continuously run open farmers’ market in DC and attracts a wide variety of artists, craftsmen, and food venders to its Capitol Hill location.

Once reserved for construction sites, food trucks aren't the mobile hot dog stands you're used to. Today, you can nosh on a variety of gourmet creations - anything from latin BBQ pork arepas to pork banh mi to lobster rolls. Yes, lobster rolls.
