Looking for an excuse to tour DC's Turkey Thicket Recreation Center in Brookland?
Visit Friday, October 22 from 6 PM - 8 PM for their annual community Chili cook-off! Featuring a comprehensive selection of beef, pork, turkey, vegetarian, chicken, and "super spicy" - the event promises to be a fun (and delicious) time.
This is just one of the many events offered at Turkey Thicket Recreation Center, which is just 6 blocks from EYA's Chancellor's Row townhome community in Washington, DC.
The center, open 6 days a week, features a gymnasium, lit athletic field with baseball diamond, basketball court, indoor swimming pool and kiddie pool, eight tennis courts, a playground, and multipurpose rooms indoors.
In addition to events such as the Chili Cook-off, the center offers swimming and diving lessons, along with summer camps.
