Yesterday, in the spirit of giving, 50 EYA staffer's gathered for a "build-a-backpack" event benefiting Luther Jackson Middle School in Fairfax. EYA met at Angelika Film Center in Mosaic District to fill the 50 backpacks with supplies for low-income 8th graders at the nearby school.

The company's interns, along with a few employees, are pictured here taking the backpacks to the school.The event was funded by the EYA Foundation, along with a generous donation from Guernsey Office Products. The school, adjacent to EYA's townhomes at Mosaic District, has 40% of its students on free or reduced lunches, creating a real need for donated items like backpacks and school supplies.
