It’s coming! The annual Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade will make its way through downtown Silver Spring on Saturday, November 22nd. The parade will feature over 100 attractions including floats, giant balloons, fire engines, classic cars, marching bands, colorful dance troupes and more. This year, a brand new 12-foot inflatable turkey will make its debut and as usual, the parade will conclude with a special appearance by Santa.

The parade begins at 10 AM at Ellsworth Drive and Fenton Street and proceeds south along Georgia Avenue, ending at Silver Spring Avenue.

The holiday fun continues throughout the season with Deck Out Downtown. Every Saturday from November 29th to December 20th you can enjoy carolers singing holiday tunes, performances by local student groups and lots of great holiday shopping.

These fun events, and many others, take place just steps from EYA’s newest Silver Spring community, Chelsea Heights. If you want to start living your walkable lifestyle today, visit our sales center at 630 Ellsworth Drive to learn more.
