EYA is proud to partner with the City of Alexandria to co-host the U.S. Coast Guard Eagle. Also known as “America’s tall ship,” it is the largest tall ship flying the Stars and Stripes and the only square-rigger in U.S. government service. The Eagle will be docked in Old Town at the Robinson Landing pier from Monday, September 4, to Friday, September 8. Public viewing and tours are free. For nearly 25 years, EYA and the City of Alexandria have enjoyed a vibrant partnership marked by new opportunities and development of some of Old Town’s most sought-after neighborhoods. The results of this collaborative effort include a dozen projects featuring more than 1,000 residences. Since its beginning in 1992, EYA has been recognized for innovative land development and iconic design, including work with Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority (ARHA) to introduce new affordable housing opportunities. Currently, EYA and the City are engaged in plans to expand the Old Town waterfront, with a shared vision of making the Potomac River more accessible and easy to enjoy by residents and visitors alike. EYA’s newest property, Robinson Landing, will feature a revitalized pier and waterfront promenade along with fine dining, retail, and luxury condominiums and townhomes. This landmark property is scheduled to open November 2017. To learn more, please visit our website.
