Hurricane Earl may be threatening the Atlantic this Labor Day weekend, but our nearby Potomac River is an excellent choice for a little celebration and relaxation. If you're looking to stay local, stay local with THE BEATLES.
Announcing "Abbey Road on the Water": a first-of-its-kind AND the world's largest Beatles tribute festival at our very own National Harbor, just moments from Old Town Commons.
Running from September 2 – 6, Beatles fans from across the nation will Come Together to enjoy over 50 Fab Four tribute bands. The largest Beatles festival in the world will include 2 indoor stages, four outdoor stages, seminar gatherings, and enough Beatles merchandise to send you on a Magical Mystery Tour trying to find the perfect memorabilia for you.
And you won't need a Yellow Submarine to get there! The Alexandria-National Harbor Water Taxi leaves about every hour from Waterfront Park in Old Town and takes a little more than 20 minutes to get to National Harbor.
Tickets and overnight stays are still available here.
National Harbor is Old Town Commons' very own resort destination. Take this opportunity to check it out for yourself!

We've had a lot to celebrate at EYA communities across the DMV this summer—from park and playground openings to community completions and more. Not only do we love to gather with our homeowners to celebrate these milestones, but it is also important to us that we offer opportunities for residents to come together, meet new neighbors and forge the ties that create strong communities. Below is a snapshot of some recent events at EYA neighborhoods.

At EYA, we take great pride in not only creating beautiful living spaces, but also designing neighborhoods that bring people together and offer the best of life within walking distance. From the beginning of a project, we spend a significant amount of time visioning the overall design of a neighborhood with a view to fostering close-knit communities. The goal is to create a sense of belonging and provide opportunities for residents build long-term friendships with their neighbors through thoughtfully laid out walkways, parks and open spaces that foster interactions and enhance the neighborhood’s cohesion.
