From southern-style fried turkeys to organic Thanksgiving meals, there’s plenty to tempt your taste buds this holiday season.

Thanksgiving Turkey

Celebrate Thanksgiving southern-style with a fully prepared take home meal from Georgia Brown’s in the District. Choose between a slow roasted or deep fried turkey hand rubbed with creole seasoning. There are plenty of tasty sides from which to choose, including collard greens, cornbread stuffing and homemade buttermilk biscuits! Orders must be placed by November 25th and picked up on Thanksgiving Day between 8 AM and 11:15 AM.

Whole Foods also prepares take home Thanksgiving dinners, including fully organic and vegan meals. A Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner serves 6-8 people and costs $119.99. The turkey comes ready to cook and sides include sage stuffing, homestyle mashed potatoes, organic cranberry orange relish, turkey gravy and choice of veggies or casserole.

Hill Country Barbecue Market, also in the District, offers both pre-ordered meals and dine-in options. Enjoy their Thanksgiving Day Feast including pit-smoked turkey with pan gravy, Texas toast stuffing, sweet potato bourbon mash, skillet cornbread and many other tasty options. Dine-in prices are $39.95 for adults and $15 for kids 10 and under.

For Thanksgiving with a French-twist, head to La Ferme restaurant in Chevy Chase. The three-course prix-fixe menu costs $47 and includes a number of delectable choices including pumpkin soup, seafood pot pie, roasted turkey, pan seared sea scallops, apple and cinnamon crème brulee and pumpkin and spice roulade cake.

Where better to celebrate Thanksgiving than in charming Old Town Alexandria? Historical Gadsby’s Tavern will be serving Thanksgiving meals that include turkey with savory giblet gravy and candied yams. Price is $49 per person (half price for children under 12). Or pre-order your meal from Old Town’s favorite, The Butcher Block. There are a variety of turkey and side options such as sweet potato puree, mac and cheese and fennel sausage stuffing.
