The one hundred year old history of culinary entrepreneurship returns to Union Market this weekend in Washington, DC.

What began as the city's largest food market is being reborn at Union Market, which serves as the anchor building of a brand new market district, expected to rival New York City's Meatpacking District and Capitol Hill's Eastern Market.

Located near the intersections of Florida Avenue and New York Avenue NE (off 6th Street NE), Union Market is just two miles from EYA's Chancellor's Row townhome community and steps from the NoMa Metro station on the red line.

This weekend's grand opening is scheduled from 8 AM - 8 PM Saturday and Sunday. While you're there, don't miss DC Scoop, a tasty and free frozen treat competition from 1 PM - 4 PM Sunday, September 9th.

Artisans include the following fine foods providers and up to 40 vendors will participate in the future:

  • All Things Olive
  • Almaala Farms
  • Amanda McClements
  • Buffalo & Bergen
  • Cordial
  • DC Empanadas
  • Harvey’s Market
  • Lyon Bakery
  • Oh! Pickles
  • Peregrine Espresso
  • Rappahannock Oysters Co.
  • Righteous Cheese
  • TaKorean
  • Trickling Springs Creamery
