Fairfax, VA (August 30, 2023) – EYA and the City of Fairfax are thrilled to announce that residents have moved into the city’s first ADUs at EYA’s Sutton Heights community. This is a very important milestone towards increasing affordable housing in the City of Fairfax.

Last week, we celebrated the grand opening of The Laureate, a brand new multifamily building developed in partnership with Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) and Bozzuto at Westside at Shady Grove Metro. Located at 8005 Gramercy Blvd in Rockville, The Laureate is the first development ever to utilize the County's innovative Housing Production Fund (HPF).

Last week, we were honored to host DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and other local dignitaries at our Riggs Park Place community in celebration of EYA's partnership with the City to create this brand new neighborhood. The ribbon cutting event not only celebrated our first homeowner move-ins, but also the successful transformation of an underutilized piece of land into a vibrant new residential neighborhood.

EYA, LLC (EYA) celebrated The Lindley’s award from the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Terwilliger Center for Housing’s 2019 Jack Kemp Excellence in Affordable and Workforce Housing with partners and community leaders from DC, Maryland, and Virginia. The Lindley represents a unique partnership between EYA, The Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC), and The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation. As a new luxury, mixed-income multifamily building in Chevy Chase, Maryland, it is one of the first buildings of its kind to include private equity as a major funding source while remaining under the principal control of a public housing authority (HOC).

We are pleased to announce that The Lindley has received the 2019 Multifamily Executive (MFE) award of merit for excellence in mixed-income housing. This national award highlights multifamily projects that demonstrate outstanding design, architecture, creativity and inventiveness.

We are pleased to announce that The Lindley has been awarded the 2019 Jack Kemp Award for Excellence in Affordable and Workforce Housing. Presented by the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Terwilliger Center for Housing, this national award recognizes exemplary developments that demonstrate innovation and creativity in expanding affordable and workforce housing opportunities.
