We are thrilled to celebrate our 50th new neighborhood with the opening of Northside in Potomac, MD! Since 1992, EYA has built more than 6,000 new homes across the greater Washington area, offering homeowners the best of life within walking distance. This exciting milestone comes following a period where we have opened four new communities in the last year, with two more scheduled to open in 2024.

EYA's newest neighborhood, Farmstead District, will be opening soon for pre-construction sales in Rockville, MD. The 20-acre community will feature 158 EYA townhomes, clubhouse with pool and fitness center, indoor/outdoor entertainment areas, a children's park, landscaped trails and more, all walking distance to the Shady Grove Metro and established neighborhood retail at King Farm. Farmstead District will truly offer residents the best of modern townhome living with a focus on convenience and community.

On Friday, thousands of DMV residents celebrated Bike to Work Day by ditching their cars and opting for a greener, healthier commute. A number of our EYA team members are dedicated bike (or scooter!) commuters themselves and regularly take the trails to work. Below is a snapshot of some EYA folks living EYA's motto of life within walking distance (or biking or scootering), and why they choose these alternative commuting options.

Julie and Will Thompson have a special connection with EYA—two special connections, in fact! Not only are they homeowners at EYA's Townhomes at Cabin John Village, they are also the owners of Celebrity Delly located adjacent to EYA's Graham Park community. Celebrity Delly was started by Julie's dad almost 50 years ago and features a variety of delicious deli menu items in a fun, family-like atmosphere. We sat down with Julie and Will to learn more about the history of Celebrity Delly, what they are excited about as new Graham Park homeowners begin to move into the neighborhood, why they chose their home at Cabin John Village and more.

People who are exploring a new place to live often focus on tangible, measurable considerations: The size of their desired home and the cost of their rent or mortgage; the school choices for their children; or the availability of particular amenities like Metro access.
