At EYA, we love to celebrate our homeowners and foster connections and community among neighbors. Not only do we enjoy gathering with our homeowners to celebrate community milestones, but it is also important to us that we offer opportunities for residents to come together, meet new neighbors and forge the ties that create strong communities. Here is a recap of some of the recent events at EYA neighborhoods.
Farmstead District: Rockville, MD
Farmstead District features a new clubhouse, called the Barn, that is a central gathering space for residents. In November, we hosted a Meet & Greet at the Barn where EYA homebuyers enjoyed delicious burgers and food truck fare from Char'd, lively conversation and a wonderful fall afternoon connecting with new and future neighbors. With more than 90 homebuyers in attendance, the event was filled with great community spirit.
Another special homebuyer event held over the summer was a volunteer opportunity to stuff backpacks full of school supplies for Montgomery Housing Partnership's (MHP) program to help kids start off the school year. Homebuyers gathered both at Farmstead District and Reservoir District to help fill the backpacks. Offering homebuyers the opportunity to come together over a shared cause is a great way to give back and build meaningful connections among future neighbors. Read this blog post to learn more.
Reservoir District: Washington, DC
The summer was an exciting time at Reservoir District as we launched a public summer event series. The series featured community-focused, family-friendly events including Soulful Sundays outdoor concert series, workout and wellness classes, Family Field Day, Ice Cream Social and more. This engaging public programming lineup was designed to bring neighbors and District residents together throughout the summer. Read this blog post to learn more.
Prior to one of the Soulful Sunday outdoor concerts, we held a brunch at our model home for homebuyers to connect before heading over to the concert.
It was a summer full of community and connection at Reservoir District, with more events coming in 2026.
Northside: Potomac, MD
At EYA's Northside community, we held a fun cooking demo class with our partners at ABW Appliances. The folks at ABW showcased the appliances at Northside, including the optional induction cooktops. Homebuyers had the chance to experience the speed, safety and efficiency of induction cooking, while also enjoying demonstrations of additional modern kitchen features. It was a wonderful afternoon of cooking, community and connection with plenty of laughter, shared food and new friendships. Read this blog post to learn more.
Strathmore View: North Bethesda, MD
Opened earlier in 2025, the Strathmore View community is already taking shape. We held a homebuyer happy hour at nearby Knowles Station Wine & Co for future neighbors to connect. It was a wonderful afternoon of conversation, good spirits and a chance to build new friendships.
At EYA, it is often said that we don't just build homes, we build neighborhoods. Every neighborhood is built with a holistic approach to not only create housing opportunities, but also with an eye towards enduring design, place making and connecting residents with each other and their community.
