The Charles Houston Recreation Center, which sits on the corner of Wythe and N Alfred Streets in the northwest quadrant of Alexandria, is a recently founded facility open to all Alexandria residents. Funded by the City of Alexandria, the $10-15 million facility is LEED Gold certified and features a fitness room, mini-pool, dance studio, full-size gym, boxing center, and more. In addition, the center hosts classes for jazzercise, fencing, and other general fitness opportunities for all Alexandria residents at a very low cost compared to other fitness options in the area.

Below are some new photographs of some of the key features in the rec center, and more can be found on EYA's Flickr site. For more information and hours for this facility, consult the facility's official page.

More rec center photos can be found here.
