There's arguably no better place in Washington to experience all things dance than Brookland's Dance Place. The acclaimed performing arts venue, studio, and education complex is located just steps from red line Metro and EYA's Chancellor's Row townhomes.

This Saturday, September 29th, Dance Place presents Family Day - a full day of dance education events such as Zumba class, Hip-Hop class and a variety of children's classes and activities. Family Day at Dance Place is free to attend.

As the venue launches its 2012-2013 season, patrons can discover national and international performers along with some of DC’s finest dancers and spoken word artists. There are performances every weekend and the full schedule is available at their website.

To experience Dance Place in true VIP style, be sure to check out their Fall Gala, featuring cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, silent auction, and more - coming Saturday, October 20th. Funds from the event will go in part to their Moving Forward Campaign which includes a major renovation to their performance venue.

Dance Place also occupies space in the all-new $15 million Artspace Lofts project on 8th St NE, a major anchor in the ongoing redevelopment of the Brookland Metro station.
