For over 25 years, Dance Place has been a vital part of the Brookland area in NE as a cultural and community resource. Since its opening, Dance Place has been offering dance programs and classes to the general public at little to no cost, and over time has developed international acclaim for its unique and high quality work. Through its generous and community-oriented activities, Dance Place has also become a staple organization for its arts programs that engage with underprivileged youth. Located at 8th and Kearney St NE, Dance Place offers educational programs and classes every week for children and adults alike in modern dance, hip-hop, African dance, performance art, and more. A complete schedule and more information about classes and programming can be found on Dance Place's official website.

Now, as part of Dance Place's latest special promotion, residents of the Brookland neighborhood and Ward 5 can experience the charm of Dance Place in its community-oriented free ticket promotion. Dance Place is reserving 10 free tickets for every Sunday night performance to those who live around the theater, offered first come, first served. To reserve your tickets, call the Dance Place box office at 202-269-1600.
