Washington Business Journal selected EYA's founding partner and senior vice president, Frank Connors, as Chief Financial Officer of the Year in the real estate category.
Connors, who joined EYA shortly after its founding in 1992, has led the company's finance, IT, and risk management functions. Even during the downturn of 2007-2009, EYA managed to deliver the same number of homes pre-recession thanks to Connors' leadership.
Connors maintains EYA's investor relations - the vital role in which EYA is able to secure new land and construction financing for its neighborhoods. The company has built more than 3,000 homes in 30 communities in the Washington Metropolitan Area with sales totaling more than $1.5 billion.
His contributions extend beyond the office as well. He has logged countless hours as a volunteer in EYA community events and outreach programs such as Buff and Scrub, the Carpenter's Shelter, DC BIA Community Improvement Day, Arts District Hyattsville Annual Arts Festival, Alexandria Residential Housing Authority and Home Aid. He also serves as a coach for his children's many sporting events and school activities. He is on the Board of the Bethesda Country Club and a supporter of the DC Prep Public Charter Schools.
